Call for Artists

Hello Fellow Artists!

Omni Open Studios is an artist organized online event. The event will be hosted by Gwyneth Manley over Zoom. Each artist will be interviewed for a 10-15 minute segment. The artist can tell the audience about their work, process, and anything related to their art. The goals of the project are to expose our audience to new artists, promote the artist’s online shops and to connect a divided community through the power of art.

We are doing our annual September event on the 25th. We are looking for six artists to participate. There is no monetary fee to apply or participate. However, you will be expected to collaborate with the host to make the event happen. This includes providing photos of yourself, your work, your studio, a biography for our webpage and helping to promote the event. You will also be expected to meet online with the host to plan your segment in the week prior to the event. Please see our application for more details. It is highly recommended that artists participating in this event have online shops. Preferably your own website, but an Etsy or Shopify store will also work.

Omni Open Studios is entirely online. Our no contact event is planned with the pandemic in mind, but has the added benefit of being able to include people from conceivably anywhere. Omni Open Studios is based out of Portland, Oregon, but we would love to see artists from all over the United States applying. International artists are also welcome to apply, though we may need to discuss shipping logistics.

Omni Open Studios also gives artist the opportunity to donate a portion of their sales from this event to a non profit organization of the host’s choice. For our annual event, the host has chosen to support Immigrant and Refugee Community Organization. You can read more about them below or at their website. There is a section at the end of our application that you may fill out to contribute.

The deadline to apply to the event is August 11th, and selected artists will be contacted the following week on August 18th. Feel free to contact us directly with any questions using the contact button, below. For more information about Omni Open Studios, go to our About page. To see past examples of the events and artist profiles go to our Media and Previous Artists pages.
